Bosch Ebike Flow App Update 1.26: Welcome to the Virtual Ebike Garage

Update 1.26 for Bosch eBike Flow App

Do you ride more than one ebike featuring a Bosch Smart System drive? If so, you probably use a separate account for each one to manage them all via the Bosch eBike Flow app. This is about to get easier. Anyone who installs the 1.26 update for the app can then create up to six eBikes under a single account.

1. Version 1.26 of the Bosch eBike Flow app turns the 1 into a 6

With today’s update of its eBike Flow app, Bosch is making everyday life easier for those who own several ebikes with the latest development stage of the Bosch ebike system. Until now, the rule was: one bike, one account, one mobile phone. The limitation of managing the account from a single smartphone remains in place. But from now on, you can store one, two, three, four, five or a maximum of six ebikes there. Depending on how many your bike garage holds. 😉

The ebikes registered under one account retain their respective setups. Any settings you change on one of the eBikes will only apply to that bike and will not be automatically applied to any of the other bikes. Keep in mind: If you want to change any settings on your ebike, you have to connect it to the app. If you actively use the app while riding, the home screen always displays the current battery capacity and remaining range of the ebike you are currently connected to. However, data such as the kilometres travelled is linked to the account under statistics, along with the corresponding activity, so that all trips with all bikes will be added up there.

2. How to add multiple ebikes to the Bosch eBike Flow app

As part of the update, Bosch has redesigned some of the details on the home screen. For example, there is a new button in the top left-hand corner. Clicking on this will take you to an overview of all the ebikes linked to your account. From there, you can add new ebikes to your virtual garage. They are registered with a name that the bike manufacturer has chosen. If you don’t like it, you can give them your own name. There are no limits to your imagination.

3. Better distinction between ebike and person

Furthermore, with the update, Bosch has clearly separated personal information from ebike-related information and integrated it at different points in the menu. In the future, you will find all settings related to an ebike behind the gear symbol in the upper right corner of the home screen. What concerns you as a person can be accessed via a new symbol. This has been placed in the lower right corner of the home screen and is titled ‘Profile’. After clicking on the profile symbol, the options that a Flow+ subscription opens up for you, among other things, appear.

4. Update adding TRP eShift levers to the eBike Pass

The third new feature of the eBike Flow app probably only affects a small proportion of people who ride an ebike with the Bosch Smart System. This refers to all those whose model is equipped with the TRP E.A.S.I. A12 electric derailleur. You can register the TRP shifter as a separate component and list it in the eBike Pass. This could prove to be an advantage in two circumstances. Firstly, if your ebike with eShift is ever stolen. Then the shifter is listed in the specifications of your ebike and you can use the eBike Pass to provide the police with as much detailed information about your ebike as possible. Secondly, it may be possible in the future to pair a new shifter with the ebike system if the original shifter ever breaks. Until now, this could only be done by a specialist workshop. With the update to version 1.26 of the Bosch eBike Flow app, you would be able to do it yourself.
