DJI Ebike: Avinox Motor Will No Longer Be Found Only on E-Mountain Bikes in 2026

DJI ebike for 2026

There will be numerous models of a DJI ebike – or rather, an ebike featuring the DJI Avinox, now known simply as Avinox – available in 2026. What once began exclusively with the DJI ebike from Amflow has long since spread to almost 20 brands. With the trend still on the rise. And in addition to full-suspension e-mountain bikes, manufacturers are now also equipping other types of ebikes with this drive system. Our overview shows you which bikes are already available in shops or online and which ones you can expect to see over the course of the season.

Amflow PL Carbon

Who knows, maybe DJI’s marketing strategists decided on the brand name Amflow right from the start because it appears very high up in an alphabetical overview. In our list, the Amflow PL Carbon ranks first. And that’s somehow fitting. After all, this ebike started the hype over ebikes with a DJI motor.

Two years after its presentation at Eurobike 2024 in Frankfurt am Main, the Amflow PL Carbon is still one of the most exciting full-suspension ebikes in its segment. Its 160 millimetres of travel at the front and 150 millimetres at the rear make this all-mountain bike a vehicle that you can have a lot of fun riding on a wide variety of terrain. In addition, even with the large 800-watt-hour battery, the more expensive Pro version weighs just over 19 kilograms. At a price of 6,499 euros, even the entry-level model is based on a carbon frame. If you are looking for an ebike with DJI, it is worth taking a look at the Amflow range in 2026 as well.

Apache Eagle

Who among you knows České Budějovice? Or perhaps Budweis? Yes, that rings a bell, doesn’t it? The capital of South Bohemia in Czechia is known worldwide as the epitome of the art of brewing. But it is also home to the bicycle manufacturer Apache. Although it was founded back in 2001, very few of you are likely to have heard the name in connection with ebikes. Founder Míra Míka is said to have been inspired by the landscape of the US state of Arizona and the stories about the Apache chief Winnetou.

The Apache Eagle rides, sorry, rolls on 29-inch wheels. The full-suspension carbon frame offers 170 millimetres of travel on the suspension fork and 160 millimetres on the shock. Unfortunately, the frame is only available in three sizes: S, M and L/XL. The other features of the top-of-the-range Apache Eagle 1 model, with its Sram GX Eagle AXS electronic gear system and Sram Maven Bronze brakes, are particularly impressive given its price tag of around 7,000 euros. The Apache Eagle 2 and Apache Eagle 3 models are available at lower price points of around 6,185 euros and 5,360 euros respectively.

Atherton S.170E

The Atherton S.170E comes from beautiful Wales and has clocked up plenty of test kilometres in the Dyfi Bike Park. Not all the details about this bike are known at present. Nevertheless, it is already clear that hardly any more experienced team could build an ebike than the family business from Machynlleth. Founder Dan Brown started building bikes at the age of ten. The company brings together World Cup victories in downhill racing and expertise in additive manufacturing processes.

The Atherton S.170E marks the cult brand’s first foray into the ebike market. As an enduro e-MTB, it offers 170 millimetres of travel on the fork and shock. The centrepiece, alongside the DJI Avinox M1, is the frame made of 7075 aluminium. Incidentally, the manufacturer offers a lifetime warranty on this. You can currently pre-order the model with the mullet setup for a deposit of £1,000. It is set to be officially unveiled in April 2026. Shipping of the first pre-orders is also scheduled to begin then.

There will be three versions of the first generation of the Atherton S.170E. The prices for the Atherton S.170E.1, the Atherton S.170E.2 and the Atherton S.170E.3 are £8,999, £7,999 and £6,999 respectively. Allow plenty of time for your purchase decision. After all, you have to choose the right frame size for you from twelve options – yes, TWELVE.

Commencal Meta Power SX Avinox

Fast-paced downhills. The finest enduro adventures with a tendency towards freeriding. If that’s exactly your thing, then the Commencal Meta Power SX Avinox might be right up your street. Manufacturer Commencal is surrounded by alpine terrain in its home country of Andorra. These influences are undoubtedly reflected in the e-mountain bike from the all-mountain category. Part of the aluminium frame is a rear triangle with 160 millimetres of travel and Commencal’s Virtual Contact System. Thanks to its low weight and a mullet setup with a 29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel, it is said to be responsive and agile to ride.

Once again, a little patience is required on your part. The Commencal Meta Power SX Avinox is currently only available for pre-order. The price is expected to be around 10,859 euros. Commencal plans to start shipping in July 2026.

Crestline RS 181.2

Some of the DJI ebikes in this overview seem like niche products. The Crestline RS 181.2, on the other hand, is the niche made carbon. Or how many of you would order an ebike as a kit? But that’s exactly the option the manufacturer offers. It sells the Crestline RS 181.2 as a module consisting of the frame, DJI Avinox motor, battery and charger. The remaining parts and components, such as gears, brakes, wheels, etc., you can obtain from other manufacturers. Of course, you can also buy some of them directly from Crestline.

The carbon frame and Avinox drive together form the basis for an extremely rigid and progressively designed e-enduro. According to Crestline, they have reduced the weight and volume of the frame in the bottom bracket area. Nevertheless, the ebike still has CAT 5 certification for downhill use. Thanks to a modified cable routing, you no longer see any cables next to the shock.

Once again, only a limited edition of the Crestline RS 181.2 is likely to be produced. The first generation of the frame was limited to 100 units.

Crussis e-Full

Crussis is a second Czech manufacturer that focused early on integrating the DJI motor into ebikes. Its range includes two model series with a full-suspension e-mountain bike and a hardtail ebike. All three series are characterised by their strikingly affordable prices. A glance at the manufacturer’s website also reveals the surprisingly large dealer network it maintains in Germany and the rest of Europe.

The Crussis e-Full is a fully-suspension e-MTB. Its all-mountain geometry was co-developed by three-time mountain bike world champion Michal Prokop, among others. With 160 millimetres of front and rear suspension travel, 29-inch wheels and a high-quality suspension system, it is likely to be pretty much what many ebike riders currently describe as their sweet spot. The top-of-the-range model, the Crussis e-Full 12.11 Pro X, is particularly impressive with components such as the Fox Podium fork, Sram Maven Ultimate brakes and the Sram XX Eagle groupset.

Crussis One-Full

It’s only a small step from the Crussis e-Full to the Crussis One-Full. Both model series are very similar. The most important difference is the material used for the frame. Aluminium is used for the Crussis One-Full, which lowers the price of these models. Another advantage for those who are not quite so tall is the fact that the frame sizes start with an S. As with the Crussis e-Full, you can choose between versions with different battery sizes. With the 600 watt-hour battery version, you save at least 900 grams in total weight and 300 euros in price.

Crussis e.Hard

You can get a DJI ebike even cheaper with the hardtail from Crussis. The Crussis e.Hard starts at a almost record-breaking 3,590 euros. For those new to mountain biking, the 140 mm suspension fork and Sram’s mechanical 12-speed derailleur are more than enough. And the option for a larger battery with more range is also available here.

Forbidden Druid

Among insiders, the small Canadian manufacturer Forbidden has long enjoyed a good reputation. Since adding an ebike with DJI to its portfolio, it is now likely to be known to a wider audience. A characteristic feature of the Forbidden Druid is its high-pivot rear triangle. You’ll find this on both versions of the bike – the Forbidden Druid Core and the Forbidden Druid Lite. According to Forbidden, the rear travel, the position of the pulley and the kinematics are tuned to give you sensitive feedback while riding.

With 160 millimetres of travel on the fork and 150 millimetres on the shock, the Forbidden Druid Core model is more of an all-mountain bike. With 140 mm of travel at both ends, we would classify the Forbidden Druid Lite more in the trail bike category. Both models share a carbon frame and a mix of a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel.

Forestal e-Siryon V2

Five years ago, Forestal introduced the e-Siryon, an ebike that already featured a 3.2-inch screen integrated into the top tube and modern interfaces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ANT+, GPS and 4G. Now the manufacturer has announced the second version of the e-Siryon and is saying goodbye to the large display. However, there is no need to be too sad about this, as the change is accompanied by a switch from Forestal’s own EonDrive motor to one from DJI.

Many details about the new version are still unclear at present. More information is expected to be released at the launch at the end of February 2026. However, Forestal has already hinted that the frame will be refined with the integration of the rear triangle and the design of the rocker arms. The manufacturer is sticking to other key features such as the 170-millimetre front and rear suspension travel, the carbon frame and the 29-inch wheels.

Two versions of the Forestal e-Siryon V2 have been announced. The Forestal e-Siryon V2 Diōde is expected to cost 9,600 euros as the top model, while the Forestal e-Siryon V2 Halō is priced at 7,500 euros.

Megamo Reason

Alongside Crussis, Megamo is a second brand that offers an astonishingly wide range of ebikes with DJI. We currently count eleven versions, spread across the two models Megamo Reason and Megamo Reason Air.

Both visually and in terms of geometry, the Spanish manufacturer seems to want to avoid extremes in order to appeal to a broader audience.
Values such as the 63.5-degree head angle, 77-degree seat angle and chainstay length of around 450 millimetres, depending on the frame size, are within the range you would expect from such an all-rounder. The riding fun should probably be roughly the same uphill and downhill.

A more personalised setup is possible thanks to a flip chip system. This allows you to adjust the frame geometry to suit your preferences or the terrain. The changes affect all the usual frame geometry values – except for the length of the seat tube and head tube.

With its 160 millimetre suspension travel, the Megamo Reason is once again an all-mountain bike. Megamo offers six versions, with a choice of carbon or aluminium frames.

Megamo Reason Air

As the little brother of the Megamo Reason, the Megamo Reason Air has a slightly lower suspension travel of only 140 millimetres. With this trail bike, you also have the choice between a carbon frame and an aluminium frame. The sizes are limited to S, M and L. In terms of other features, there are no significant differences. This is reflected in identical prices, which start at 4,999 euros for the AL models and 5,999 euros for the CRB models. The actual purchase may be a little tricky. Outside the Iberian Peninsula, Megamo does not yet have an extensive service and dealer network.

Olympia Hekton 180

Italian manufacturer Olympia from Piove di Sacco also relies on a system with a flip chip in the carbon frame. More striking, however, is the mount for the shock in the centre of the down tube. This position must have decisive advantages for the model’s kinematics. Otherwise, it would hardly be acceptable to make it impossible to attach a bottle cage or other accessories to the down tube.

When setting up, you can choose between 29-inch wheels and a mullet setup with a small rear wheel. According to our research, the prices for the two versions, Evo-R and Pro, are 8,999 euros and 7,299 euros respectively. As Olympia does not show prices on its website, we had to search the internet to find them.

Olympia Hekton 160

For slightly more moderate terrain, where a suspension travel of 160 millimetres is sufficient, you can opt for the Olympia Hekton 160. The manufacturer uses the same frame for this model. This means that you can once again choose between a uniform wheel size of 29 inches and a mullet setup. Everything else remains the same. This also applies to the division into an Evo-R model and a Pro model. This time, however, the price difference is only 300 euros. Prices start at 6,690 euros.

Rotwild R.EX

One would assume that there are no major differences between these DJI ebikes in terms of the Avinox system. At most, the question is which of the two batteries is installed. Usually, that is exactly the case. However, Rotwild is an exception. The manufacturer has developed a battery specifically for its model with the DJI motor. This not only increases the capacity to 864 watt hours, but also its practicality in everyday use. While all other manufacturers install the DJI Avinox battery permanently, it can be removed from the Rotwild R.EX. To our knowledge, this is the only DJI ebike that you don’t have to charge directly on the ebike. Rotwild even manages without an extra cover for the side battery removal. The battery uses 21,700 type cells and weighs 3,580 grams.

Side-removable battery for the Avinox M1 on the Rotwild R.EX

The strongly upward-pulled chainstay also quickly catches the eye. It is part of the rear triangle with its innovative elevated box design. Its voluminous swing arm ensures symmetrical stiffness performance, gives the rear wheel plenty of tyre clearance and minimises annoying chain slap. The all-mountain bike, with 160 mm of travel at the front and 150 mm at the rear, uses a mid-high pivot system. According to Rotwild, this moves the pivot point further up and forward. The result is a combination of the advantages of a classic four-link rear suspension and those of a high-pivot setup.

Rotwild’s innovations understandably come at a price. Across the three Ultra, Pro and Core spec levels, this ranges from 12,490 euro to 9,990 euro and down to 8,990 euro.

Steppenwolf Tundra

Steppenwolf describes the new Tundra for 2026 as a premium full-suspension e-mountain bike on its website. It is expected to be available in shops from autumn 2026. Not much else is known at this stage. Nor can we say anything about future prices. Everything indicates that the four models in the comprehensive range will start at a price of 4,499 euros. However, the Steppenwolf Tundra 6.0 SUV is based on an ebike drive from Shimano. The price quoted may refer to this model. The Steppenwolf Tundra 9.0, Steppenwolf Tundra 10.0 and Steppenwolf Tundra 11.0 are equipped with the DJI Avinox motor.

The Steppenwolf Tundra 11.0 looks very promising on the preliminary data sheet. The suspension fork and shock offer 170 millimetres of travel. With the Fox 38 Factory suspension fork and Fox Float X2 shock absorber, Steppenwolf is installing the promised premium components. The same applies to the Sram X0 Eagle transmission and Sram Maven Ultimate for the gears and brakes. It is also noticeable that the Steppenwolf Tundra 10.0 and Steppenwolf Tundra 9.0 obviously use a different frame. However, this will also be made of carbon.

Teewing Turbo Force

Teewing is a complete newcomer to us. You have to search a little longer on their website to find out that this manufacturer is based in Guangzhou, China. The brand’s entire portfolio consists of exactly three DJI ebikes.

Nevertheless, Teewing is not a completely unknown quantity. After all, the manufacturer fielded a factory team in the 2025 UCI World Ebike Series (WES). A lot of the insights gained there are likely to have gone into the development of the Teewing Turbo Force. The result is a carbon frame with 160 millimetres of travel at the front and 150 millimetres at the rear. According to the manufacturer, the top-of-the-range Teewing Turbo Force Pro model weighs around 21.5 kilograms. A complete set of 29-inch wheels is fitted. The rear triangle uses the classic four-link design. Unfortunately, we were unable to find reliable price information for the three models Teewing Turbo Force Pro, Teewing Turbo Force and Teewing Turbo Force XT.

Unno Mith

If this overview of DJI ebikes were a beauty contest, the Unno Mith would rank very high. Okay, it’s a matter of taste. But this side silhouette with its almost delicate and extremely sloping top tube has at least earned the title of ‘striking’. In addition to its design, the bike seems to have impressed overall. Currently, all three models – Unno Mith Factory, Unno Mith Pro and Unno Mith Race – are listed as sold out. Nevertheless, it is almost certain that the Unno Mith will be available for purchase again later this year.

Thanks to the 170 mm of travel on the suspension fork and 160 mm on the shock, the model is considered an e-enduro bike. The lightweight carbon frame and mullet setup with different-sized wheels still provide the necessary agility even on less technically demanding terrain.

In terms of price, the Unno Mith is more in the high-end range. However, for 14,895 euros, the Unno Mith Factory also comes with a Fox Podium Factory suspension fork and a carbon wheel set.

Velduro Rogue R

Velduro is another name that may be new to many of you. No wonder. This rather small manufacturer has only been around since 2024. It also comes from New Zealand, which is not exactly known as the centre of the cycling world. Frustration about this probably motivated the creators to found the company. They were tired of only getting a relatively small piece of the bicycle pie due to the limited number of imported bikes. So Velduro started building its own ebikes.

For the Velduro Roge R, the manufacturer chose the same suspension travel as Unno for its Mith – 170 millimetres at the front and 160 millimetres at the rear. A special feature of the carbon frame is the high-pivot rear triangle with its own patented suspension system called I-Track. With components such as Fox Factory suspension, Sram Maven Silver brakes and electronic shifting from Sram, other parameters also seem to have been chosen wisely. In combination with the Avinox M1, this sounds like a complete package that promises plenty of riding fun. According to the website, the price is NZ$16,990, which is approximately 8,650 euros.

Velduro Phantom S

Velduro Phantom S

You can read about who Velduro is in the E-Mountainbike Velduro Rogue R section. There, the desire for good ebikes came through. This seems to include urban ebikes. In any case, the manufacturer has developed a sporty ebike with a carbon frame and rigid fork around the DJI Avinox, which is primarily designed for city riding. The Velduro Phantom S features flat handlebars. The frame provides mounts for mudguards and rear racks. The price of NZ$7,990, equivalent to around 4,065 euros, seems quite tempting. However, please note that the DJI battery with 600 watt hours is installed as standard.

Velo de Ville Revo-C

The Velo de Ville Revo-C could be considered a kind of precursor to the Velduro Phantom S. After all, it was already on display at Eurobike 2025 in Frankfurt am Main. With a total weight of just under 20 kilograms, it is likely to be on a par with its New Zealand counterpart. When it comes to finding the right frame size, it has clear disadvantages with only two options compared to the four sizes offered by Velduro. However, it makes up for this with its extensive configurator.

3. Trekking and touring ebikes with DJI Avinox motor

Steppenwolf Transterra Sport

Somewhat overlooked by the market so far, Steppenwolf now also offers a trekking ebike with the DJI motor in its range. As is typical for such an ebike, it bridges the gap between everyday city riding, relaxed weekend trips and extended tours. The Steppenwolf Transterra Sport series includes two models: the Steppenwolf Transterra Sport 9.0 and the Steppenwolf Transterra Sport 9.1. The main difference between them is the gear system. For 5,199 euros, the 9.0 comes with a stepless hub gear system from Enviolo. With a Shimano derailleur, the 9.1 is cheaper at 4,499 euros and also weighs around two kilograms less.

We find it a bit disappointing that it is limited to only two frame sizes, M and L. On the other hand, we think the suspension fork with a relatively large travel of 120 millimetres is a good choice.

4. E-gravel bikes with DJI Avinox motor

Velduro Phantom R

The Velduro team also uses the frame of its Phantom X commuter bike as the basis for an e-gravel bike. The Velduro Phantom R features the usual drop handlebars, a derailleur gear system with 13 gears covering a wider range, and suitable gravel tyres.

While the concept works very well on the Phantom X, the Phantom R reveals what is currently still missing from the Avinox drive. We are referring to control units tailored to the drop handlebars. Velduro has solved this problem by simply mounting the two familiar buttons in the middle of the handlebars. This means you always have to take your hands off the drops to change the assistance level.

Presumably to save some weight, the smaller and therefore lighter battery with a capacity of 600 watt hours is installed. For a price of NZ$13,990, around 7,120 euros, there is also a Rockshox suspension fork developed for gravel bikes offering 40 millimetres of travel.

5. Low-step ebikes with motor DJI Avinox

Steppenwolf Transterra Easy

What makes sense for a trekking ebike could also work well on an ebike with a low-step frame. This could have been Steppenwolf’s thinking behind its Steppenwolf Transterra Easy. In any case, the brand, which after several years of ups and downs now belongs to Zweirad Union in Sangerhausen, is using the same approach as the Transterra Sport. The manufacturer has once again equipped the carbon frame with a powerful suspension fork with 120 millimetres of travel and offers a choice between hub gears and derailleur gears to differentiate between the models in the series. Accordingly, the prices of 5,199 euros and 4,499 euros are in line with those of the Transterra Sport.

With a complete lighting system, mudguards, a rear rack and a side stand, you’ll find all the components you need for an urban low-step bike. Thanks to the suspension fork and wide Schwalbe tyres, you can also venture beyond the city limits with the Steppenwolf Transterra Easy without hesitation.
