After economically and commercially turbulent times, Flyer is back with three new products for the 2026 season. All of the new ebikes pick up where the Swiss manufacturer was trying to score points in recent years. The most striking of the trio is a full-suspension touring ebike with a low-step frame.

4. Revised Flyer Uproc X 2026: All-mountain bike with aluminium and the latest Bosch CX Gen5
1. Flyer with a sobering recent past
Before we take a closer look at the newcomers, let’s take a brief look back. It is not entirely natural that Flyer’s business is continuing as in previous years, at least from an outside perspective. After all, in October 2025, Zweirad-Einkaufs-Gesellschaft eG (ZEG), the German owner of Flyer Bikes, announced that the manufacturer would have to open a consultation process. The reasons for this were the effects of declining consumer interest following the coronavirus crisis, combined with warehouses and order books that were full to capacity at the time. In order to get the extremely tense economic situation under control, Flyer had already laid off around a quarter of its workforce at its headquarters in Hutwill in autumn 2023.
However, the accompanying restructuring attempts were unsuccessful. This was followed by the decision in November 2025 to completely discontinue the production of Flyer ebikes in Switzerland and to lay off more than 90 percent of the remaining employees. ZEG then relocated production to the Kettler Alu-Rad site in St. Ingbert in the Saarland. Whether Flyer can still be considered a Swiss manufacturer is perhaps best decided by you.
2. New Flyer Gotour X 2026: The next big thing in touring?
The brand name remains Flyer, after all. And under this name, a completely new model will be launched in the trekking and touring ebike segment for the 2026 season. The Flyer Gotour X is an ebike with a low-step frame, featuring suspension on the fork and rear triangle to compensate for bumps and other vibrations. The target audience is likely to be people who prefer the ease of getting on and off a low step-through frame, but also enjoy riding off-road on uneven field and forest trails. Flyer has further enhanced this comfort factor by equipping the ebike with a dropper seat post as standard. We saw something very similar last year from KTM with the Macina Aera and Macina Style.
In keeping with the concept, the Flyer Gotour X is powered by the Bosch Performance Line PX. After the latest update of the Bosch eBike Flow app, you can increase the motor’s performance to a torque of 90 Newton metres, peak power of 700 watts and 400 percent assistance. The factory settings are slightly lower when the bike is delivered. You can then maximise these settings manually in the app if you wish.
The motor draws its energy from a battery with a capacity of 800 watt hours. The Bosch PowerTube 800 is fully integrated into the down tube and can be removed for charging. If the resulting range is not enough for you, you can expand the system with a Bosch Range Extender, the Bosch PowerMore 250, and add another 250 watt hours.
Everything ready for long bike trips
Speaking of packing, the rear rack can hold all your luggage. It is compatible with both the MonkeyLoad system and the Ortlieb QL 3.1 standard and can carry a maximum load of 25 kilograms. If you want to transport even more luggage, you can add a front rack. However, this is a paid extra. Mudguards and a permanently installed lighting system with front and tail lights complete the Flyer Gotour X’s travel-ready equipment.
Considering its price tag of 6,499 euros, βbargainβ would hardly be an appropriate description for the Flyer Gotour X 7.23. However, this model does feature an automatic stepless hub gear system from Enviolo. Together with the carbon belt from Gates, this results in a quiet, low-maintenance drive. The Flyer Gotour X 7.12 XC offers a slightly sportier, crisper ride with its Shimano 11-speed derailleur gear system. For the 1,000 euros less that this model costs, you can buy several bottles of chain oil for maintenance at your bike shop.

3. Update for Flyer Goroc 2026: All-rounder offers choice between CX motor and PX motor
Just like the name Gotour, Goroc is also part of the familiar wording within the Flyer product range. Until now, however, these model series, which the manufacturer referred to as crossovers, always had an addition to their name. Now, for the first time, an ebike is being launched that simply goes by the name Flyer Goroc.
As expected, the new model for 2026 shares certain similarities with the existing series. It combines elements of an e-mountain bike with those of a trekking ebike or urban ebike. The result is agile 27.5-inch wheels, off-road tyres, suspension forks with generous suspension travel of up to 140 millimetres and a powerful full-power motor such as the Bosch Performance Line CX with permanently installed mudguards, a rear rack approved for mounting child seats, an optional front rack and permanently installed lights at the front and rear. Thanks to such a wide range of features, you can ride safely on a variety of terrains and easily switch from city traffic to a multi-day trip through the countryside.
Two models with different orientations
If one or the other predominates in your everyday life β riding on the road or off-road β then Flyer provides a clever solution for you. The manufacturer has deliberately equipped the two versions of the new Flyer Goroc, the Flyer Goroc 1.10 and the Flyer Goroc 2.10, with slightly different features. The Flyer Goroc 2.10 is the version that is more suited to use on forest and gravel paths, which may also include longer climbs. Flyer uses the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, a suspension fork with 20 millimetres more travel and tyres with more tread. In contrast, the Flyer Goroc 1.10 is slightly more road-oriented. It has a slightly weaker but quieter motor, the Bosch Performance Line PX. Its smaller battery offers only 600 watt hours of capacity instead of the 800 watt hours of the Flyer Goroc 2.10. The tyres roll over asphalt with less resistance, while the gear shift with only nine instead of ten gears also covers a slightly smaller gear ratio range. The bottom line is a difference of 4,999 euros for the Flyer Goroc 2.10 compared to 3,999 euros for the Flyer Goroc 1.10.
Advantages for both models: With the Bosch PowerMore 250 range extender or the Bosch ConnectModule GPS tracker, there are additional useful components that allow you to customise the ebikes to your requirements.

4. Revised Flyer Uproc X 2026: All-mountain bike with aluminium and the latest Bosch CX Gen5
At the beginning of 2024, Flyer fundamentally redesigned its all-mountain e-mountain bike, the Flyer Uproc X. The frame geometry was comprehensively updated, the drive system was changed from Panasonic to Bosch, and the colour selection was refreshed. It would not necessarily have needed a redesign for the 2026 season. However, Bosch has significantly advanced the Bosch Performance Line CX in the meantime. And Flyer is now passing this progress on to its customers.
The focus of the new features is therefore clearly on the new motor. With the redesigned and, as a result, significantly quieter gearbox, improved sensor technology and functions such as the Hill Start Assist, there are many arguments in favour of a change. This is especially true now that the technical specifications have also been significantly improved, making the unit even more powerful.
Cheaper alternative aluminium
The second key difference from previous Uproc X models is the use of an aluminum frame. The models from the previous season were based on a carbon frame. Thanks to this decision, the entry-level price for the model series has been reduced by 1,400 euros to 4,599 euros for the Flyer Uproc X 4.10. This is despite a better motor, a new Bosch Kiox 400C display integrated into the top tube with a USB-C charging port and 50 watt hours more battery capacity. That’s impressive. Especially since the full-suspension e-MTB with its mullet concept featuring a 29-inch front wheel and 27.5-inch rear wheel, as well as a four-link rear suspension, has always cut a fine figure on the trails.
Flyer is introducing two new models for the 2026 season. The more expensive Flyer Uproc X 6.30 stands out from the cheaper Flyer Uproc X 4.10 primarily thanks to a higher-quality suspension system and better drivetrain, which is consistently on a Shimano Deore XT level.

In addition to the three new models mentioned above, the manufacturer is expanding its Flyer Gotour series. It is presenting three new versions with more robust components. This increases the maximum permitted total weight of these heavy-duty versions from 150 kilograms to 180 kilograms.
The Flyer Goroc X model series is also growing. In future, you will be able to choose between two models with a very low step-through frame. Flyer calls this frame shape βComfortβ.
All the new products discussed in this article are scheduled to be available from Flyer in early summer 2026.
