The situation in the bike industry remains tense. Consumption has not yet picked up as hoped, both in Germany and internationally. After the sometimes dizzying sales figures in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, many manufacturers still have a number of models from previous years in their warehouses. Therefore, one might think that the market has little exciting to offer at the moment. KTM proves the opposite. The Austrian company is starting the 2026 season with new models, new motors and greater riding comfort thanks to electronic shifting and ABS.

1. New KTM Macina Superbelt SX city ebike
The 2026 range includes two completely new model series. One of these is specifically designed for ebike riding in urban environments. In the past, this segment has sometimes been somewhat neglected by KTM. The focus was mostly on e-mountain bikes and the trekking and touring segment. And the city ebikes offered by KTM emphasised riding comfort rather than aspects such as sporty riding and low weight.
With the Macina Urbanator SX, the manufacturer demonstrated a year ago that it also masters the other variant. The KTM Macina Superbelt SX is now also heading in this direction. The new model follows a slightly more conservative concept than the Urbanator SX. Its geometry supports a more upright riding position on the bike. We are already familiar with the frame responsible for this β it is the one used on the KTM Macina Sport SX. The Superbelt SX also takes the suspension fork with 63 millimetres of travel from the Sport SX. The derailleur has been replaced by an eight-speed Shimano hub gear, which is combined with a low-maintenance carbon belt. Above all, however, KTM is expanding its range of frame shapes. In addition to a classic diamond frame, you can also choose the KTM Macina Superbelt SX with a mid-step frame or as a model with a low-step frame.
The down tube houses a battery with a capacity of 400 watt hours. It supplies power to the Bosch Performance Line SX motor. In autumn 2025, this is expected to receive an update from Bosch, which will increase its torque to 60 Newton metres and its assistance to 400 percent. In combination with the Bosch Purion 200, this is an ebike system that is easy to use and offers so much dynamism and endurance that you can also take the KTM Macina Superbelt SX on longer tours at the weekend or on holiday.

2. KTM Macina Every expands trekking segment for 2026
Everyone, everywhere. That’s the motto for the second new addition to KTM’s ebike range for 2026. With the KTM Macina Every, the manufacturer aims to appeal to a wide target group. People who are looking for an ebike with a low-step frame but prefer a slightly more unusual, slightly more daring design.
To achieve this, KTM is using a frame variant that has enabled older models of the KTM Macina Aera to win several tests conducted by ADAC and Stiftung Warentest in the past. We are talking about the Power Tube Sport frame, or PTS for short. The low-step frame stands out thanks to a raised and reinforced chainstay that runs in a straight line to the down tube. This raises the step-through height compared to conventional low-step frames, but also gives the ebike more stability. KTM has completely redesigned the PTS frame for the Macina Every. It is now compatible with Bosch’s new motor mount for the Performance Line CX motor. In addition, the down tube now offers enough space to accommodate the PowerTube 800, Bosch’s largest intube battery.

A touch of SUV feeling
The manufacturer sees this model as a trekking ebike that exudes a certain sportiness while remaining comfortable to ride. The tyres, some of which are 60 millimetres wide with grippy knobby treads for sufficient traction off-road, together with the suspension fork and its 80-millimetre travel, give it almost a touch of SUV feeling. The latest Bosch Performance Line CX motor underlines the manufacturer’s sporty approach and, even before the announced increase to 100 Newton metres, 750 watts at peak power and 400 per cent assistance, already provides the necessary dynamics for an ebike of this kind.
A total of three models of the KTM Macina Every will be released in the 2026 model year. The biggest difference between them is the drivetrain chosen for each model. In the top-of-the-range KTM Macina Every 820 Belt, the manufacturer has fitted a stepless hub gear system from Enviolo with a belt drive. In contrast, the KTM Macina Every 830 Di2 and KTM Macina Every 840 feature derailleur gears with eleven and ten speeds respectively. On the KTM Macina Every 830 Di2 , you can shift gears electronically and benefit from Bosch’s eShift function. On the more affordable KTM Macina Every 840, you still change gears mechanically. Apart from that, the three ebikes have a lot in common in terms of equipment, such as the angle-adjustable stem, which allows you to comfortably change your seating position.

3. Redesigned KTM Macina Fold e-folding bike
The last update for the KTM Macina Fold was a few years ago, so it was definitely time for a redesign. At the same time, the introduction of the Bosch Performance Line PX motor provided the perfect opportunity. Its performance makes it the ideal drive for an electric folding bike like this.
So KTM took the bull by the horns and devoted itself entirely to the KTM Macina Fold. From our point of view, the result is thoroughly convincing. The new frame alone deserves high praise. Although it is still made of aluminium, you won’t find any weld seams. This is due to the switch to a completely different manufacturing process. The frame is now literally made in one piece. This makes it look much higher quality than before. Its silhouette has been noticeably slimmed down, giving it a more modern appearance. This electric folding bike looks like a full-fledged ebike.
More than just an addition
Thanks to the aforementioned Bosch motor, it should also ride like one. With a torque of 90 Newton metres, 400 percent assistance and a peak power output of 700 watts, this is a drive that suits the Fold perfectly. After all, many fans of these ebikes use them not only for shorter distances in the city, while they spend most of their time folded up on buses or trains. An e-folding bike is often taken along on holidays with a camper van or motorhome. At the holiday destination, it racks up plenty of kilometres as a touring bike. This is one reason why KTM continues to integrate a 500 watt-hour battery and has also added a new mount for a range extender on the frame. You can attach an additional battery such as the Bosch PowerMore 250 to the rear of the seat tube to extend the range of your trips.
The ebike can be folded at the main joint in the down tube and the joint for the handlebars on the head tube. The whole thing becomes even more compact when you angle the pedals. KTM has also refined the entire mechanism so that folding and unfolding should now be easier to do by hand.

4. New Bosch Performance Line PX motor
Bosch presented its latest motor, the Bosch Performance Line PX, at Eurobike 2025. According to the manufacturer, it is primarily intended for integration into trekking and touring ebikes. A glance at the performance data shows that it ranks below the Bosch Performance Line CX and above the Bosch Performance Line.
Its profile, with a rated continuous power output of 250 watts, which can be increased to a maximum of 700 watts, torque of 90 Newton metres and 400 percent assistance, is a perfect fit for a large part of KTM’s range. Until now, the manufacturer has basically always had to weigh up whether to opt for the Bosch Performance Line CX or the Bosch Performance Line. The sales aspect often spoke in favour of the CX, while the performance of the Performance Line would have been completely sufficient. We can well imagine that the new PX motor will outperform the other two units even more often in the coming years and that you will encounter it more frequently on a KTM ebike.
Especially since it proves to be a great companion in terms of noise during riding. Usually, it emits a quiet, rather high-pitched sound at most. If you don’t hear it, don’t worry, it’s not your hearing. Rather, the sound is quickly drowned out by other riding noises from the tyres, wind and traffic. With Auto mode and Hill Start Assist, it has also adopted two practical functions from the Bosch Performance Line CX.
5. KTM ebikes for the 2026 season featuring PX motor
In addition to the KTM Macina Fold, KTM is using the Bosch Performance Line PX on two other models. Both are among the best-selling series and have been an integral part of KTM’s range for years.
5.1 KTM Macina Tour
5.2 KTM Macina City
5.1 KTM Macina Tour
As a powerful trekking ebike, the KTM Macina Tour has won numerous awards in independent magazine tests in the past. Next year, there will be an interesting competition within the model series, which KTM dealers will be watching closely at least. Will the three models with the proven Bosch CX motor sell better, or will the two models with the new Bosch Performance Line PX come out on top?
The top-of-the-range KTM Macina Tour CX 810 could skew the results a little. It is the only model to offer electronic gear shifting. However, it also costs 1,000 euros more than the KTM Macina Tour PX 810. The latter, on the other hand, features the higher-quality Bosch Kiox 500 display. But perhaps the entry-level model will beat all the others. Its price of around 3,500 euros could convince cost-conscious buyers. Especially since the brakes and derailleur from Shimano are of a solid standard. Only the suspension fork is slightly inferior and offers fewer adjustment options than the other models.

5.2 KTM Macina City
The new KTM Macina City also features a combination of CX and PX motors. For the 2026 season, the model range will grow from two to four models with the addition of the new motor. There are two versions with each motor. The manufacturer has made a clear strategic decision here. Positioned at the higher end of the price range, the KTM Macina City 810 Belt in particular is set to attract attention with components such as the large Bosch Kiox 500 display, the Bosch ConnectModule GPS tracker and the stepless Enviolo hub gear in combination with the more powerful motor.
In contrast, the KTM Macina City PX 830 Belt and the KTM Macina City PX 830 RT Belt have to make do with the Bosch Purion 200, a combination of control unit and display, and the simple 5-speed hub gear from Shimano. This should generally be sufficient for city riding. On longer distances and hilly terrain, the gearbox reaches its limits more quickly, meaning you have to rely more on the motor. The lower price of the two PX models is a point in their favour. KTM has fitted the KTM Macina City PX 830 RT Belt with a version of the hub gear with coaster brake. This could be an additional argument in favour of purchasing this model, especially for city traffic.

6. New Bosch Performance Line CX-R motor
Bosch unveiled another new motor for the Smart System back in May 2025: the Performance Line CX-R. The manufacturer has refined the concept that has characterised this drive, which was designed specifically for professional racing, since 2022. Details such as a titanium crankshaft and a high-quality ceramic ball bearing are exclusive to Bosch and can be found under the powder-coated magnesium housing in striking space grey.
The biggest change is to the motor’s sensor technology. Many developments from the current Bosch Performance Line CX have been incorporated here. These include torque sensor and cadence sensor measurements at a maximum frequency of 1,000 times per second. This information is supplemented by data from inertial sensors, which determine the motor’s acceleration and rotation rates in six dimensions. They also transmit data such as the current gradient and angle of inclination to the system and report vibrations. Based on this wealth of data, the ebike system gets an accurate picture of whether you are riding uphill or downhill, for example, and whether the ground is rough or flat.
The Performance Line CX-R stands out from all other Bosch motors thanks to its Race mode. This assistance level is exclusive to this model. In Race mode, you benefit from maximum assistance of 400 percent right from the start. This mode also gives you a few extra seconds of βExtended Boostβ. Thanks to this targeted motor overrun, you can overcome obstacles more easily, which can be a great advantage when used cleverly, especially when riding uphill. In addition to Race mode, the CX-R is also compatible with eMTB+ mode.
7. KTM ebikes for the 2026 season featuring CX-R motor
Only the best for the best. True to this motto, KTM is equipping series models with the Bosch Performance Line CX-R for the first time. If you’re interested, take a closer look. Only three models in the two flagship e-mountain bike ranges, the KTM Macina Prowler and the KTM Macina Kapoho, will feature this special innovation.
7.1 KTM Macina Prowler
7.2 KTM Macina Kapoho
7.1 KTM Macina Prowler
With 180 millimetres of front suspension travel and 170 millimetres at the rear, the KTM Macina Prowler is traditionally KTM’s e-mountain bike of choice for the most technically demanding and roughest trails, where jumps are the order of the day. Anyone who wants to push a bike like this to its limits needs the highest level of riding technique and fitness. To ensure that the ebike is in no way inferior in technical terms, KTM is equipping the two most expensive models in the range with the CX-R motor for the 2026 season. Appropriately, they feature electric shifting. A Bosch ConnectModule integrated as standard increases theft protection. Although slightly less expensive, the KTM Macina Prowler Prestige CX-R Di2 appears to be the more exciting concept compared to the top-of-the-range KTM Macina Prowler Exonic. After all, you can use the eShift functions from Bosch. This option is not available on the KTM Macina Prowler Exonic, as it is equipped with a Sram gear system.
New for the 2026 season, the KTM Macina Prowler Master is the sixth model to join the range. Like the KTM Macina Prowler Prestige 750 Di2 and the KTM Macina Prowler Elite, it features a Bosch Performance Line CX with the identifier BDU374Y. This is the predecessor of the current CX motor. As a result, it does not have the improved sensor technology of the BDU384Y and is also not compatible with the latest Bosch PowerTube 800 and Bosch PowerTube 600 intube batteries. The fact that such motors are still available allows manufacturers to be more flexible in their calculations. KTM, for example, is positioning the Macina Prowler Master as a mid-range alternative in terms of price. With the entry-level model KTM Macina Prowler Elite, also featuring a Bosch BDU374Y, the company has managed to stay 1,000 euros below the previous season’s entry-level price.

7.2 KTM Macina Kapoho
Among KTM’s full-suspension e-mountain bikes, the Macina Kapoho offers by far the greatest variety. For the 2026 model year, the range includes an impressive eleven versions. That’s even one more than before. Apparently, a suspension travel of 160 millimetres at the front and rear is a feature that meets the needs of many people.
For the most ambitious, daring or wealthy among you, KTM equips the KTM Macina Kapoho Exonic with the Bosch Performance Line CX-R motor. With the KTM Macina Kapoho Master ABS L Di2, you also get Bosch’s brake assist system in the ABS Pro version. However, the true attraction seems to be the electric gearshift. Eight of the eleven models are equipped with one. From KTM’s point of view, this is either a feature that can provide the decisive impetus to buy or is most in demand by ebike riders. Or both. In any case, the figures speak for themselves.
Particular attention should be paid to the KTM Macina Kapoho Pro LTD and KTM Macina Kapoho Comp LTD. Based on the frame of the top model, they feature mechanical gear shifting. The rest of the equipment, including the suspension system and brakes, is only slightly below the level of the other models. Nevertheless, this is your entry point into the series at a price of less than 5,000 euros.

8.1 KTM Macina Scarp SX
There is a new addition to KTM’s range of lightweight full-suspension e-mountain bikes. The KTM Macina Scarp SX Prestige sits just below the top-of-the-range KTM Macina Scarp SX Exonic. KTM has adapted its cue from Shimano. In June 2025, the industry leader from Japan expanded its portfolio of derailleurs suitable for electric shifting. The Shimano Deore XT Di2 installed on the KTM Macina Scarp SX Prestige is one of them. The rear derailleur and cassette are Linkglide standard versions. These are robust components that Shimano has specially designed for the higher loads on ebikes.

8.2 KTM Macina Race SX
For several years now, KTM has been offering the KTM Macina Race SX as an entry-level mountain bike with a relatively light ebike. As the name suggests, this model series features the Bosch Performance Line SX β Bosch’s lightest ebike system. The manufacturer equips all three models so that they weigh just under 20 kilograms. That is approximately four kilograms less than a comparable e-MTB from KTM’s Team model series.
The hardtails feature a suspension fork with 100 millimetres of travel. On the top model, the KTM Macina Race SX 10, the eleven gears of the derailleur are shifted electrically. On the KTM Macina Race SX LFC and KTM Macina Race SX 20, this is done by a conventional mechanical gear shift. With nine gears, the gearing range is slightly reduced and the difference between the individual gears is slightly greater. As the KTM Macina Race SX LFC proves in the default configuration, the frame offers mounts for installing a complete lighting system, permanently installed mudguards and a rear rack. You can therefore add these accessories yourself to the other models at a later date.
Technically, the series remains pretty much the same as last year. On the two cheaper models, the paint finish has changed from glossy to matt.

8.3 KTM Macina Gravelator SX
According to KTM, its own e-gravel bikes have been in high demand recently. That’s why the manufacturer is expanding this model series for the 2026 season. The KTM Macina Gravelator SX Elite is a new addition. Like the top model, its frame is also made of carbon. However, to bring the price down a little, it features mechanical gears and a wheel set with aluminium rims instead of carbon.
KTM has changed a few details across all four models. For example, the new handlebars provide some rise, giving you a slightly more upright riding position than before. There have also been some noticeable changes to the colours. The shades are less striking and seem to be more inspired by nature. Together with the predominantly matt paint finish, the overall effect is quite harmonious.

8.4 KTM Macina Revelator SX Prime Di2
Already last year, KTM’s e-road bike featured an innovation that not even a handful of other manufacturers currently offer. We are talking about the gear hub from Classified. Its integration eliminates the need to install a second chainring, yet still provides twice as many gears as there are sprockets on the cassette. This is made possible by switching to a second gear ratio within the rear wheel hub.
This feature may receive more attention in the near future. After all, Bosch has gained Classified as a new cooperation partner for eShift. At the moment, this means that at least the shifting process within the hub can be automatically handled by the ebike system. In the future, this will also be implemented for the shifting processes on the rear derailleur.
A surprising but nice side note: Despite identical specifications, the price of the KTM Macina Revelator SX Prime Di2 will drop by 400 euros to 7,499 euros for the 2026 season.

8.5 KTM Macina Urbanator SX
Inspired by the KTM Macina Gravelator SX and the KTM Macina Revelator SX, KTM unveiled the KTM Macina Urbanator SX last year. This sportiest of all the manufacturer’s urban eikes is therefore still fairly new. Thus it is not surprising that the manufacturer has decided not to introduce any innovations for the 2026 model year. KTM has only adjusted the price, fortunately by 200 euros down to 3,699 euros.

8.6 KTM Macina Cross SX
At least surprising to us, KTM is thinning out the transition from e-mountain bikes to trekking ebikes. With the 2026 model year, the aluminium frame version will be discontinued from the KTM Macina Cross SX model series. Only the model with a carbon frame will remain. In return, it will get a new suspension fork. The paint finish will change from KTM’s signature glossy orange to a matte blue shade called Royal Teal.

8.7 KTM Macina Sport SX
KTM has only made minor changes to its lightest trekking ebike. The KTM Macina Sport SX Elite now comes in a new, more muted colour, Olive Pearl, in addition to the existing Velvet Petrol Matt. The orange colour of the KTM Macina Sport SX 10 has been replaced by a blue shade called Royal Teal Matt. The technical specifications will remain largely unchanged for the 2026 season. This is reflected in consistent pricing. The top model in the range, the KTM Macina Sport SX Prime, will be reduced by 200 euros, while the model below it will increase in price by 100 euros.

8.8 KTM Macina Mini Me SX
There are still two models available for younger riders. The KTM Macina Mini Me SX 24 is based on 24-inch wheels. Its motor assistance only reaches speeds of up to 20 kilometres per hour. KTM assumes that the KTM Macina Mini Me SX 26 with its 26-inch wheels will be ridden by larger and therefore older children. Given their greater experience with bicycles, there are no restrictions on this model.
The other features are the same for both sizes and therefore for the different age groups. From the suspension fork with 80 millimetres of travel, to the nine-speed derailleur, hydraulic disc brakes and 400 watt-hour battery, the concept appears well thought out and should suit many children of this age. The manufacturer does not appear to see any need for further action here. The model range for the 2026 season is identical to that of the previous year.

9.1 KTM Macina Cross CX
Back to the roots. That could have been the motto for the redesign of the KTM Macina Cross CX. When cross bikes first appeared, they were a mixture of mountain bikes and trekking bikes. Like the former, cross bikes did without mudguards and lights. From the latter, they adopted suspension forks with only moderate travel and 28-inch wheels with narrower tyres.
New for the 2026 season, KTM is returning to these roots. This means that mudguards, lights and luggage racks have been almost completely eliminated across the entire model range. Only the KTM Macina Cross CX 820 L has permanently installed front and tail lights.
The KTM Macina Cross CX 510 LFC occupies a special position among the four models. It still comes with the complete package of road-legal accessories. However, it only has a battery with a capacity of 500 watt hours and an older Bosch Performance Line CX motor. The other three models offer batteries with 800 watt hours each and the latest version of the CX motor. In return, as the entry-level modell the KTM Macina Cross CX 510 LFC is the only model in the quartet to remain below the 3,000 euros mark.

9.2 KTM Macina Aera
An ebike with a low-step frame, rear suspension, carbon frame, electric gears and off-road tyres β that’s how KTM surprised us last year. It will once again be a highlight in the manufacturer’s range in 2026. Especially as the price for the top-of-the-range KTM Macina Aera FS Prime has been reduced by 200 euros.
KTM will be offering a wider range of the models which as hardtail models do not feature a rear suspension. Across four models instead of three, you will find features such as electric gears, Bosch ABS or models without either. This results in a wide variety within a price range from 4,399 euros to 6,799 euros, catering to a wide range of needs.

9.3 KTM Macina Style
The KTM Macina Style is essentially the city-oriented sister model to the KTM Macina Aera. Here too, KTM has fitted the top-of-the-range version with a low-step frame and rear suspension. This sets the KTM Macina Style FS Prime apart from the other models.
If the size of the model range is an indication of its commercial success, the KTM Macina Style should have sold extremely well in shops and online stores. After all, KTM is expanding the range from six to an impressive eleven models. These differ in terms of the quality of the suspension fork, the electric or mechanical gear shift, the displays installed and their brakes. The manufacturer is also equipping two models with Bosch ABS. However, we cannot fully understand why these are only available with a diamond frame.

9.4 KTM Macina Gran
The KTM Macina Gran could have been just as popular with customers as the KTM Macina Style. In any case, KTM is clearly focusing on this trekking and touring ebike with a number of new features for the 2026 season. The manufacturer appears to be keen to improve safety for ebike riders. The two new additions with Bosch ABS now make the quartet of models a sextet.
In addition to the dropper seat posts, they all have suspension forks with 80 millimetres of travel. Some also feature a particularly sturdy rear rack, which is also approved for attaching a child seat. Together with the high-quality gears and brakes, this results in an ebike that combines riding fun with practicality, both in everyday use and on multi-day tours.

10. KTM e-mountain bikes featuring Bosch Performance Line CX for 2026
10.1 KTM Macina Lycan
10.2 KTM Macina Chacana
10.3 KTM Macina Team
10.1 KTM Macina Lycan
If you are looking for an e-mountain bike for trail and all-mountain riding, the KTM Macina Lycan is traditionally the model of choice from KTM.
With 140 millimetres of suspension travel at the front and rear, it fits perfectly into this category. The riding experience will be even better than in the past. Three of the five models will be equipped with electric shifting for the 2026 season. From our own experience, we know how much this can mean for mountain biking, especially in combination with Bosch’s eShift options.
A quick note about the model names: Both models with a three-digit number starting with 8 have 29-inch wheels. The exception is the S frame size, which comes with 27.5-inch wheels. KTM consistently uses 27.5-inch wheels on models with a three-digit number starting with 7.

10.2 KTM Macina Chacana
Due to its slightly shorter suspension travel compared to the KTM Macina Lycan, the KTM Macina Chacana is considered a full-suspension e-mountain bike that is deliberately designed to bridge the gap between off-road and on-road riding. In the 2026 season, KTM is retaining its e-MTB character a little more strongly. There are two versions that do without fenders, lights and carriers. The suffix βLFCβ is missing from their model names.
Anyone who wants to benefit from the latest generation of Bosch Performance Line CX motors and their upcoming update to 100 Newton metres of torque and 750 watts of peak power will need to look out for models with a three-digit number starting with 8 in their name. If the number starts with a 7, the predecessor of the CX motor is integrated, which will not receive this update. They also have a slightly smaller battery. However, they cost significantly less than comparable models with the latest motor.

10.3 KTM Macina Team
The KTM Macina Team model series would always be worthy of a separate article. Across the eight models in this series, it perfectly illustrates the possibilities available to a manufacturer such as KTM to give one and the same ebike a wide variety of different characteristics simply by adding different suspension components, gears, brakes, batteries, displays and details such as a GPS tracker or ABS. Not to mention the addition and removal of equipment for road use, such as permanently installed lights, fenders and carriers.
You will find this same variety brilliantly implemented in the 2026 season. Now all you have to do is specify your requirements. The top-of-the-range KTM Macina Team 891 is the right choice for you if you focus on off-road riding, want a top-quality motor and battery, prefer a gear system with the widest possible range and want a full-featured display for navigation. With ABS and a full range of accessories, the KTM Macina Team 892 LFC ABS, on the other hand, comes pretty close to a sporty ebike for the city. And with a relatively small battery, an older motor and simpler equipment, the KTM Macina Team 691 stands out as by far the most affordable option.

11. KTM Macina Multi e-cargo bike for 2026
There is little to say about the three different versions of the KTM Macina Multi. Except that they are practical e-cargo bikes that are extremely versatile thanks to their numerous accessories and consistently high maximum total weight of 200 kilograms and more. Whether you want to use them to transport people or larger and heavier items is entirely up to you. It is even suitable as a touring bike for those who want to take all their camping equipment with them.
The ebike system in particular shows that all three models are from a different era. The drives of the KTM Macina Multi Urban and KTM Macina Multi are not part of the Bosch Smart System and have therefore missed out on a number of innovations in recent years. To be fair, KTM has frozen its prices throughout this period. This means that a KTM Macina Multi will still cost between 3,599 euros and 4,999 euros in the 2026 season.
