Do you ride an ebike equipped with the Pinion E-Drive system? If so, it’s worth visiting a specialist retailer that offers Pinion services in the near future. That’s the only place where you can get the new software update for this electric drive with its special motor gear unit.
This week, Pinion announced its new version of the firmware. According to the manufacturer, the update will noticeably improve the responsive behaviour of the Pinion MGU. This applies both when starting from a standstill with the ebike and when accelerating more powerfully from a rolling start, for example to pick up speed on flat terrain or build up momentum before a climb.
In addition, Pinion says that it has identified potential sources of error in the E-Drive System with the MGU and has now eliminated them with the update. The manufacturer did not mention exactly what these errors are in its announcement. In any case, this should mean that the e-drive will work more reliably in the long term and increase its mileage.
Important to know: The new software can be installed free of charge by your specialist dealer.
