Bosch Kiox 400C Display Smart System (BRC3200)

The Bosch Kiox 400C display is the perfect fusion of maximum functionality and thoughtful design. With its 2" colour display and brightness up to 1000 cd/m², it provides razor-sharp information at a glance. The built-in light sensor also automatically adjusts brightness according to ambient conditions, ensuring readability at any time of day.

The Kiox 400C is compatible with Bosch Smart System electric bikes. It can be paired with the Bosch eBike Flow app and used in conjunction with other Smart System accessories such as the Kiox 300, Kiox 500, SmartphoneGrip, or Mini Remote. The display is mounted on the top tube using a fixing screw. In order to be mounted there, the top tube must have the appropriate recess. Power is supplied via the switched-on e-bike. Thanks to the integrated design, the display is protected against external influences, such as impacts or knocks. It also meets the IP55 protection rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water spray.

Bosch Kiox 400C display retrofit: The Kiox 400C can be retrofitted to any e‑bike with the Bosch Smart System. For top‑tube installation, an appropriately sized opening in the frame is required. This applies to e‑bikes equipped with the Bosch System Controller together with the Bosch Frame Adapter. Depending on the brand, additional manufacturer‑specific accessories such as the Cube Display Adapter may also be necessary. As a universal alternative for handlebar or stem mounting, the EBIKE24 Kiox 400C display mount is available. It is suitable for any compatible e‑bike without a top‑tube opening and is included, along with the display, in the Bosch Kiox 400C retrofit kit.

Specifications of the Kiox 400C display

The Kiox 400C has a simple layout and is intuitive to use. The on/off button is located at the top left. Press briefly to switch the e-bike on, or press and hold for 3 seconds to switch it off. To the right is the USB-C port. This allows you to charge devices such as your smartphone using the matching EBIKE24 USB-C charging cable. The Kiox 400C can also be charged via this port in the event of a low battery. Normally, however, it is powered automatically during the ride. On the underside of the display is the ride mode button, which allows you to switch between support levels. A short press increases assistance, while holding the button for more than 1 second reduces it. Next to it is the select button, which is used to confirm display options, scroll right, and open the quick menu.

Please note that in the following cases charging via the USB-C port is not possible: If a BDU37YY motor (Performance Line CX/CX-R/Speed Gen4) is installed. If on a BDU31YY motor (Performance Line SX) the Multi-Power Port is configured as a High-Power Port or as a light port (> 6 W). If on a BDU38YY (Performance CX/CX-R/Cargo/Speed Gen5), BDU34YY (Performance PX & Performance Line Gen5) or BDU33YY (Performance Line, Active Line, Active Line Plus Gen4) the High-Power Port, Low-Power Port and light ports (> 6 W) are active.

Display information on the Bosch Kiox 400C

During your ride, the Bosch Kiox 400C can display a variety of data. In addition to basic information such as speed, time, trip distance, total distance, ride time, and mode, it also provides fitness data such as calories, cadence, heart rate, and rider power. You are also informed about battery range and charge level. If your e-bike has Bosch ABS installed, information on the ABS mode and braking distance is also displayed. Via the Bosch eBike Flow app, you can customise over 30 settings to personalise the Kiox 400C display. You can choose which data you want to see during your ride. In addition, the display provides a status indicator for the eBike Lock function. Please note, however, that the Kiox 400C cannot be used as a digital key.

Using the Bosch eBike Flow app with the Kiox 400C enables a range of additional features beyond display customisation. You can view ride data such as elevation, altitude, and elevation profile. The display can also be used for navigation, showing a map, distance to destination, and estimated time of arrival. The display also plays audio cues, such as turn-by-turn directions. Software updates for your e-bike can also be performed through the Flow app, allowing you to keep your system up to date from the comfort of your home.

Note: When installing the Kiox 400C for the first time, a device ID conflict may occur. This can be resolved with a few clicks by a qualified dealer. Until then, the e-bike will continue to function normally without limitations.
