Bosch Kiox 400C retrofit kit - incl. Cube display adapter

Use the Bosch Kiox 400C on any e‑bike with the Smart System thanks to the universal Bosch Kiox 400C Retrofit Kit from EBIKE24. Mounted via handlebar or stem installation, it offers a practical 2‑in‑1 function combining display and control unit, ensuring a clean and tidy cockpit. The corresponding kits include the Bosch display, the EBIKE24 Kiox 400C universal mount, as well as a handlebar or stem mount. We also offer a kit for top‑tube installation specifically for Cube e‑bikes with a large top‑tube recess. This set includes the Kiox 400C and the Cube display adapter.

Note: The Bosch Kiox 400C display cannot be used together with the Bosch LED Remote, the Bosch System Controller or the Bosch Purion 200.

Mounting the Kiox 400C Display on Handlebar & Stem

To mount the Bosch Kiox 400C using the handlebar or stem mount, a hole must first be drilled into the EBIKE24 universal mount. For this, use a 5 mm wood drill bit with centring tip. Furthermore, a T10 Torx screwdriver is required for the display mounting screw, a torque wrench set to 2–3 Nm for the M5x16 flat‑head screw, as well as a 3.0 mm Allen key for the handlebar mount screw, a 5.0 mm Allen key for the Fidlock Ahead Cap screw, and a 2.5 mm Allen key for the Fidlock Ahead clamp. Suitable installation tools from brands such as Wera can be found in our e‑bike tools.

Specifications of the Bosch Kiox 400C Display

The Bosch Kiox 400C features a 2‑inch colour display with up to 1000 cd/m² brightness and ensures optimal readability under all lighting conditions thanks to automatic brightness adjustment. The display can be operated via the three function buttons used for switching the e‑bike system on/off, changing riding modes, and navigating through display screens. This allows the Kiox 400C to be used both as a display and as a control unit. For easier operation while riding, we recommend additionally using a Bosch Mini Remote. In addition to the buttons, the Bosch display is equipped with a USB‑C port through which external devices can be charged using the appropriate EBIKE24 USB‑C charging cable.

Note on the charging function: Charging via the USB‑C port is not possible in the following cases: If a BDU37YY motor (Performance Line CX/CX‑R/Speed Gen4) is installed. If on a BDU31YY motor (Performance Line SX) the Multi‑Power‑Port is configured as a high‑power port or light port (> 6 W). If on a BDU38YY (Performance CX/CX‑R/Cargo/Speed Gen5), BDU34YY (Performance PX & Performance Line Gen5), or BDU33YY (Performance Line, Active Line, Active Line Plus Gen4) the high‑power port, low‑power port and light ports (> 6 W) are active.
