A key advantage of the PowerTube 720 is its flexible use within the Bosch Smart System generation. With the correct orientation, it can easily replace a PowerTube 800 Wh battery in the same frame. The horizontal version can also be used in compatible e‑bikes as an upgrade for a PowerTube 600 Wh battery, significantly increasing your e‑bike’s range.
Battery Lock function of the Bosch PowerTube 720 Wh
The Bosch PowerTube 720 Wh supports the innovative digital security feature Bosch Battery Lock. As soon as you switch off your e‑bike or remove the display, the battery is automatically locked on a digital level. Even if the battery is stolen, this deactivation ensures it is completely unusable: it will not supply power in any other e‑bike and therefore cannot be used or resold.
