This range extender battery operates at a 48 V system voltage and, with its 234 Wh nominal energy capacity, can increase the range of your e‑bike by up to 40%, depending on the model. The Buddypack range extender is compatible with e‑bikes equipped with the FIT 2.0 system, including models powered by Pinion, Panasonic, Brose and Bafang drive systems. Thanks to its compact size and low weight, the FIT BAT Buddypack 240 fits easily into a bike bag and can be conveniently carried on longer rides. For added security, it can be reliably locked in place using the included battery lock, helping to protect it against theft.

Compatibility of the FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack 240 48 V range extender battery

You can determine whether your e‑bike is compatible with the FIT 2.0 Buddypack 240 range extender by checking the design of the frame charging port. Compatibility is only ensured if the charging port on your e‑bike features two recesses on the sides. (Example illustrations can be found below the product images.) If your e‑bike is equipped with an incompatible charging port, it can be replaced with the compatible FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack charging port, allowing you to use the Buddypack 240 with your e‑bike.

Installation & connection of the FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack 240 48 V

The FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack 240 48 V is mounted to your e‑bike frame by clicking it into the FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack battery mount. This bracket can be attached to the standard bottle cage mounting points on the frame. As a result, the range extender can be installed and removed completely tool-free while on a ride. The Buddypack is connected to the e‑bike system via the FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack connection cable, which is available in various lengths.

Important: Before first use, the Buddypack 240 must be connected to the FIT Maintenance Tool using the FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack service cable and updated accordingly.
