The FIT 2.0 charging port is required to connect the FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack 240 – 48 V range extender battery to your e‑bike via the corresponding FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack connection cable. You can determine whether your e‑bike is compatible with the range extender by checking the shape coding of the frame charging port. (Example illustrations can be found below the product images.)
- Frame charging port features two side recesses: your e‑bike is already compatible & the FIT 2.0 charging port is not required ✔
- Frame charging port features no recesses: your e‑bike is not compatible & requires the FIT 2.0 charging port ✖
If your e‑bike is equipped with an incompatible frame charging port without recesses, simply replace it with the compatible FIT 2.0 BAT Buddypack charging port to retrofit your e‑bike for use with the FIT range extender.
Note: This charging port is supplied without a locking mechanism and without a spring-loaded cover.
