Schwalbe Clik Valve retrofit set incl. pump head

The Schwalbe Clik Valve retrofit set incl. pump head is part of Schwalbe's new product line and revolutionises the way you inflate your bike tyre. No more slipping, bent or broken valves. Simply click on, pump, pull off and you're done - that's Schwalbe Clik Valve (SCV).

With the retrofit set, you can convert your original Presta / Sclaverand valve (SV) or Dunlop / Woods valve (DV) valve to an Schwalbe Clik Valve (SCV). This valve insert from Schwalbe, together with the pump head, enables quick and easy inflation of the bicycle tyre. To convert, the current valve insert (SV or DV) is unscrewed from the valve. In the case of the SV valve, the spanner supplied can be used for this purpose. The new SCV valve insert is then screwed into the valve. For the DV valve, the union nut of the old valve insert must be reused. In order to inflate the bicycle tyre via the SCV valve, the pump head supplied must be attached to an air pump with a tube. To do this, the original pump head is removed from the tube and replaced with the SCV pump head. If the end of the tube is slightly widened by the original head and the SCV head does not sit correctly on the tube as a result, a 1 cm wide piece of the tube can be carefully cut off with a cutter knife.

Once all the parts have been fitted, the bicycle tyre can be inflated. To do this, push the pump head onto the valve with little force. You will hear and feel the head click into place as soon as it is properly seated on the valve. The tyre is then inflated as usual. It is not necessary to hold the tyre as the pump head grips the valve firmly and securely. Finally, the head is removed again and the valve caps are placed on the valves. The SCV system makes inflating bicycle tyres child's play. It works quickly, safely and effortlessly. Another great advantage of the SCV valve insert is that it can also be used with conventional SV air pumps in addition to the SCV pump head. This means that you are flexible in every situation and not exclusively dependent on your air pump with SCV pump head.

Please note: To convert your SV valve to an SCV valve, the SV valve insert must be unscrewable, i.e. replaceable. If you have a valve without an exchange option, conversion with the set is not possible.
