The SHIMANO funnel with oil stopper is used to bleed SHIMANO hydraulic disc brakes with ONE WAY BLEEDING.

Note
First remove the wheels (brake discs) and brake pads from the brake calliper to avoid contamination with mineral oil. Protect your eyes and hands.

First remove the bleed screw on the brake lever. Then screw the funnel onto the horizontally aligned brake lever. Now place the syringe filled with SHIMANO mineral oil on the nozzle of the bleed screw on the brake calliper, secure it and then open the screw. Make sure that there are no air bubbles in the brake fluid. The mineral oil is now pressed through the brake until no more contaminated fluid or air bubbles are pressed out of the system. Close the bleed screw on the calliper, remove the syringe and insert the stopper into the funnel. This can now be removed and the bleed screw refitted. Done.

Tip
Avoid the formation of microbubbles by using slow movements or slowly drawing up and pushing through the syringe.
