Description
The XT group is SHIMANOs flagship in the MTB sector. In the Deore XT CS-M8000 cassette always bundle the latest technologies in terms of drive. Thus, the cassette is a decisive factor for the exceptionally good switching performance of the XT group.
Thanks to Hyperglide technology, the gear changes are precise, fast and buttery smooth while the frictional connection is permanently maintained. The M8000 cassette provides an enormous transmission bandwidth. Combinable with 1x11, 2x11 and 3x11-speed drives. The right set-up is found for every driving style, every purpose from cross country to enduro and every terrain. The Rythm Step gradation results in small gear changes. Thus, the cadence is maintained and the power level constantly above.
The combination of steel and aluminum (in the 11-46 version the 2 largest) sprockets guarantees durability at low weight. Compatible it is to any 9 / 10 / 11-speed SHIMANO HG freewheel.
Note
The cassette 11-46T is only compatible with 1x11-speed drives.

Rhythm and range
The real advantage of the 11-speed drivetrain is that the full range of ratios is available without having to give up the rhythm you're used to. DYNA-SYS11 ensures an optimal rhythm with "Rhythm Step" gears in the most used area levels and uphill. It enables less shifting of the front derailleur thanks to optimal number of teeth in the front. The rider controls cadence and energy consumption via the closely spaced cassette. The system is a highly efficient gear combination - the result: more speed with the same effort.
HYPERGLIDE
The specially shaped tooth profile of the Hyperglide sprockets features specifically positioned climbing aids. This enables fast, precise and efficient index shifting. The chain is guided directly and immediately to the next sprocket without resting as with conventional cassettes.
