SHIMANO DEORE XT CS-M8100 12-speed cassette 10-45

The XT group is SHIMANO's flagship in the MTB sector. This claim is naturally reflected in the DEORE XT CS-M8100 cassette. It combines pretty much all the drive technology that Shimano has to offer. This has a clear effect on the extraordinarily high shifting performance. You can feel it on the trail!

It is offered with two gear ratios designed for 1x12-speed drives. The version with 10-45 teeth offers a finer gradation, while the 10-51 tooth version provides a huge gear range and makes every steep ramp child's play.

Equipped with Hyperglide+ sprockets, shifting is extremely precise and smooth, while maintaining constant traction. It easily copes with shifting under full load. The BEAM SPIDER design saves weight and allows for an additional gear. In addition, the lighter and stiffer pinion design reduces inertia and provides more acceleration. The smaller MICRO SPLINE freewheel allows for the 10T sprocket, makes mounting easier and also saves weight.

Hyperglide+
A new generation of MTB touring - The drive system, renewed from the ground up with the specially developed chain, enables faster shifting, efficient power transmission and unprecedented chain stability. Better chain binding, greater stopping power and smoother pedalling provide more power and a confident ride in rapidly changing terrain conditions. Clearly defined upshifting and downshifting in both directions promotes rider concentration and aids acceleration. The highly efficient drive with smoother power transmission provides more comfort and less stress. HG+ precisely determines the optimal moment to change gears, ensuring smooth pedalling. This makes it easier for riders to adapt to abruptly changing terrain conditions. It also dampens the pedal stroke and shortens shifting times by a third compared to the HG system.

Micro Spline
The smaller aluminium freewheel saves weight and allows a 10-tooth sprocket to be fitted for a wider gear range. The smaller gearing reduces the risk of damage from the sprockets on the freewheel.
