The extra-stiff brake caliper of the SAINT BL-M820/BR-M820 disc brake with its 4 ceramic pistons delivers concentrated braking power, which can be ingeniously controlledby the SERVO WAVE brake levers with short free travel. Weather conditions therefore play no role for this brake. The 2-finger brake lever with its ergonomic and non-slip design can be adjusted in lever width without tools and is I-SpecB compatible, so that the shift lever can be integrated into the cockpit in a space-saving and tidy manner. It also offers the option of adjusting the free travel.

The integrated Ice Technology components ensure effective heat dissipation, making the entire brake system more resistant to fading. Even the cable connection has already been optimised for this purpose. One-way bleeding makes maintenance or installation of the brake extremely easy.

TECHNOLOGIES

SERVOWAVE Action
The SERVOWAVE brake lever takes up a lot of braking travel at the start of its movement, so that the pads can be guided to the brake disc with minimal lever travel. Once the brake pad is applied, the force transmission factor increases rapidly. The larger part of the lever travel is therefore still available to increase the braking force and to apply a more targeted braking force.

FOUR PISTON
The disc brake system with double-diameter brake caliper design and counter-rotating pistons has pistons of different sizes at the front and rear. The system includes a force transmission system in which the brake disc is pressed by the smaller piston at the entrance to the brake disc mount and also by the stronger, larger piston at the rear. This prevents the brake disc from vibrating and significantly reduces noise.
The four-piston brake caliper increases the contact area with the brake disc, while its size remains compact. The position of the pads is precisely matched to stabilise the pressure. In addition, in combination with the SERVOWAVE brake lever, an incredible 50 % more braking force is achieved than with the previous model. The advanced disc brake system can be adapted to the rider's braking habits and generates a smooth, highly controllable braking force.

I-SPEC
This mounting system for shift levers offers optimum ergonomics, a tidy look and more space in the cockpit. It is mounted directly on the I-SPEC-compatible clamp of the brake lever. The trigger can be moved to the left or right and its angle can also be adjusted. There are different I-SPEC systems which are not compatible with each other ( I-SPEC A, I-SPEC B, I-SPEC II, I-SPEC EV)

REACH ADJUST
The brake lever is equipped with a grip width adjustment. This allows the grip to adapt to the size of the rider's hand, riding style or personal preferences.

FREE STROKE
The distance from the starting position of the lever to the contact point of the brake pads can be adjusted to suit the size of the rider's hand, riding style and personal preferences.

ONE WAY BLEEDING
"ONE WAY BLEEDING" was developed to quickly and easily prevent air from entering the hydraulic system. We have optimised the path of the brake fluid throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from becoming trapped in the system. The one-way flow of the mineral oil, together with the funnel for filling, enables clean, problem-free bleeding.
