Description
The SHIMANO EW-SD300 cable, the result of the revision of the STEPS components, is used for the first time in the EP8 traction system. It is thinner and lighter. It thus expands the range of functions of the future STEPS and Di2 systems. The EW-SD300 is used to transmit interactive signals and to supply power to the connected components. It is waterproof and weatherproof. It is available in various lengths from 150mm to 1600mm.
With a diameter of only 2.4mm in the cable and 3.45mm in the connector, it enables optimal integration of the components. A cable tie is included for indoor installation.
Connection and compatibility note: The EW-AD305 adapter enables compatibility with EW-SD50 cables so that existing STEPS drive systems can be upgraded with components such as displays with EW-SD300 connectors.
Mounting: The connector is connected via "Plug & Play". The TL-EW300 tool is recommended for easy and safe installation.

Thanks to the E-TUBE platform's Plug & Play connections and D-FLY wireless connections, it's easier than ever to check system status and make custom settings for DI2 and SHIMANO STEPS components using a PC, tablet or smartphone. Functions such as SHIMANO SYNCHRONIZED SHIFT can be adjusted wirelessly via Bluetooth® while riding. Every time the system is started, it automatically checks for firmware updates to ensure that all components are running the latest version.
