Sophisticated frame design paired with powerful drive power

Thanks to thoughtful frame design, the new Tern HSD S+ comes with a stable and agile 20-inch folding frame. With the adjustable Easy-Step frame in combination with the adjustable stem and seat post, the Tern HSD S+ can be folded within 5 seconds to the dimensions 163 x 40.5 x 86 cm. Thus, it fits comfortably in the trunk of a van or SUV Thus, it can accompany them on vacation without the need for an extra e-bike rack. In addition, the ingenious design ensures that it can park vertically, which makes rolling over even easier or allows parking in small spaces.

So that they always move forward quickly with the Tern HSD S + compact bike, it has got the perfect e-drive for city & intercity tours. A Bosch Performance Line mid-motor of the latest generation gives you with 75 Nm of torque a smooth acceleration up to 25 km/h. Plus, the new Performance motor is 20% lighter and 25% smaller than its predecessor. Whether you are taking your kids to kindergarten or traveling from A to B with a lot of luggage, the Tern HSD offers reliable as well as  perfect drive power for the urban space.

A Bosch PowerPack 500 Wh Li-ion battery powers the Performance Line motor. This powerful battery brings you up to 120 km far, depending on various influencing factors, such as rider weight, route conditions and selected support. It can be easily attached and removed. This allows you to charge the battery conveniently at home. The Bosch PowerPack battery can be fully charged within 2.5 to 3 hours.

Four different support levels are available:

Via the Bosch Intuvia display, the support levels can be selected. By means of a remote control on the handlebars, they can comfortably operate everything  with the thumb, so that it can exclusively focus  on the riding. In addition to the speedometer functions, the Intuvia LCD display has a display of the current motor power, and one of the available remaining range or the battery charge level.

Maximum comfort with maximum safety

To ensure that you enjoy optimal shifting with the Tern HSD S+, it has been given the automatic Enviolo Sport 380 hub gears. In combination with the Gates Carbon Drive belt drive, you get evenly graduated gears, packed into the rear hub. When it comes to reliability, precision and low maintenance, the Enviolo with belt drive is the perfect choice.

The enlarged and reinforced Atlas H Rack luggage rack advances the Tern HSD S+ to a real load e-bike. With a load capacity of up to 170 kg including rider weight, it can easily carry larger loads. The carrier can be expanded without adapter with the Thule Yepp Maxi child seat, so you can take your offspring with you on trips. The Atlas Rack carrier is also KLICK fix compatible and can accommodate bags of various sizes.

For official participation in road traffic, the HSD S+ has StVZO-compliant equipment on board. Thus, a Tern Valo 2.1 front headlight with 45 lux provides optimal route illumination. At the rear, a Hermanns H-Trace tail light makes you visible to every road user. Also fitted as standard is a bell and an Ursus side stand to park the S+ at any location. Two SKS mudguards are responsible for a clean riding to the office or to the city stroll. Thus, you are well protected from splashing water or dirt. The equipment is rounded off by robust and smooth running Schwalbe Big Ben tires.
