The right e-bike mudguard for every model
Bicycle mudguards are available for different areas of use. There are differences between a mudguard for mountain bikes and one for trekking e-bikes. On city e-bikes or trekking bikes, mudguards are usually permanently mounted on the frame or luggage rack. A permanently mounted e-bike mudguard is often made of robust aluminium and designed for everyday use.
With a clip-on mudguard, for example for e-mountain bikes, you have the option of attaching it depending on the weather conditions or leaving it at home. The device for a clip-on mudguard needs to be mounted once, after which you can attach or detach it as required. To avoid adding extra weight to the mountain bike, removable mudguards are usually made of hard plastic. When choosing the right mudguard for a bicycle, it is important to consider the tyre width and diameter. The tyre width is usually specified in inches and should match the mudguard.
