Akku Vision and E-Bike Vision – who is who?
With more than ten years of experience, Akku Vision is almost one of the old hands in the e-bike industry. Some of you may know the company better under the name E-Bike Vision. Since August 2020, it has been officially called Akku Vision. However, it continues to sell its batteries for e-bikes on the European market under the brand name E-Bike Vision.
Is the manufacturer a full-service company?
At its headquarters near Aschaffenburg, Akku Vision primarily produces lithium-ion round cells. These are used to manufacture batteries for a wide variety of devices and machines. The manufacturer has its own research and development department for hardware and software and produces prototypes in-house. Production and storage are also located directly in Haibach.
The round cells manufactured in-house are the heart of Akku Vision's batteries. Since the company was founded, it has specialised in replacement devices for widely used e-bike drives from well-known manufacturers such as Bosch, Yamaha, Panasonic and Gazelle. Akku Vision guarantees the highest level of accuracy of fit, yet still goes its own way. This is sometimes evident in the design. What may be more important to you is the significantly higher capacity that Akku Vision achieves compared to the original batteries.
What principles does Akku Vision use in its production?
Akku Vision sets high standards in its manufacturing processes. Manufacturer quality and "Made in Germany" are two of the central requirements for its own work. So far, only frame batteries and luggage rack batteries have been produced. Since the beginning of 2022, the manufacturer has also added an intube battery to its range. This also corresponds to the original Bosch battery in terms of capacity and weight.
Where is the manufacturer heading in the coming years?
In the future, Akku Vision will build on its existing strengths and also tap into new business areas. On the one hand, the company is sharpening its profile as a German manufacturer that produces locally and will be cooperating with UniverCell from Schleswig-Holstein for this purpose in the future. On the other hand, Akku Vision will supply several e-bike manufacturers directly from autumn 2023, thereby becoming an original equipment manufacturer.
