The Kalkhoff / Derby Cycle / Impulse e-bike magnet for the speed sensor can be easily replaced, if it is defective or lost.
How to replace the Kalkhoff e-bike magnet:
- Loosen the screw at the back of the unit.
- Remove the e-bike magnet and replace it with the new Kalkhoff magnet.
What else is used for speed measurement on the e-bike? The Kalkhoff spoke magnet is used in combination with the Impulse 1.0 magnetic sensor, the Impulse 2.0 magnetic sensor as well as the Impulse 2.0 magnetic sensor for offroad e-bikes to measure the speed at the rear wheel.
