The SHIMANO SLX shift lever SL-M7100 is close to the top class. Equipped with the genes of the XT and XTR groupset, the SLX components shine with exceptionally high performance. The operating forces have been reduced by 35% compared to the predecessor model, the reachability of the lever has been increased by 20%, and the adjustment range in the longitudinal direction has been extended.

The Rapidfire Plus Mono 2-speed trigger is mounted directly on the brake lever using I-SPEC EV. On the one hand, this ensures a clean, tidy look in the cockpit. On the other hand, the system's adjustment options ensure perfect accessibility and ergonomics. The M7100 2-speed trigger, for example, features 2-way release technology, which means that the next gear can be engaged both with the index finger by pulling and with the thumb by pressing. INSTANT RELEASE also ensures fast gear changes. A clearly defined and crisp pressure point gives a pleasant feedback of the shifting process.

Technologies

2-WAY RELEASE
The release lever for downshifting can be operated either by pressing with the thumb or by pulling with the index finger. This allows the gear lever to be optimally adapted to the respective riding situation.

INSTANT RELEASE
The INSTANT RELEASE shifting process replaces the two-stage click and release process. With INSTANT RELEASE, the cable is released immediately when the lever is actuated, thus achieving the fastest possible gear change.

RAPIDFIRE PLUS MONO
The RAPIDFIRE PLUS MONO lever is a front shift lever in a light and compact design. It enables convenient upshifting and downshifting. It enables upshifting and downshifting via simple and intuitive single-lever operation and supports double front shifting with natural finger positioning and intuitive shifting movements without releasing the fixed grip on the handlebar.

I-SPEC EV
This mounting system offers the best possible accessibility and ergonomics of the gear lever as well as a tidy cockpit. It is mounted directly on the I-SPEC EV compatible brake lever. The lateral adjustment range is 14mm. The angle of the shifter can be adjusted by 60°. A second contact point between the brake lever and the handlebar provides additional stiffness and thus increases the braking effect.

OPTISLICK
OPTISLICK cables reduce friction and thus the effort required when shifting gears thanks to the minimalist, uniform galvanic coating. The coating also provides excellent corrosion protection.
