Instead of the display, you can also use the minimalist SHIMANO EW-EN100 connection unit. It makes for a tidy cockpit and can be clamped anywhere, expanding the possibility of communication between rider and bike. It has two e-tube connections.
As an alternative to the display, a smartphone or even a third-party display with the SHIMANO app can be used here thanks to D-FLY technology. The connection is wireless via Bluetooth®LE/ANT.
The connection unit with its two LEDs displays the current support mode, the battery charge status or error messages. Both the support level and the light can be controlled via the control button.
Further individual settings can be made via E-TUBE PROJECT. It is compatible with the STEPS drives E5000, E6100, E7000 and E8000.

E-TUBE
Thanks to the "plug & play" connections of the E-TUBE platform and D-FLY wireless connections, it is easier than ever to check the status of the system and apply customised settings for DI2 and SHIMANO STEPS components using a PC, tablet or smartphone.
