Description
With the SHIMANO STEPS Intube battery BT-E8035-L SHIMANO brings a powerful battery with 504Wh capacity in the same dimensions as the new BT-E8036. The lower capacity leads to slightly less range, but means over half a kilo less weight. Extended mountain bike tours are still feasible without any problems if you charge the battery briefly during the lunch break. Because it offers a fast charge, after 2.5 hours the battery is already charged to 80%. This is done with the existing SHIMANO chargers EC-E6000, EC-E6002 or EC-E8004 directly on the bike integrated charging port EW-CP100. As a connecting link you need the adapter SM-BTE80. Charging is of course possible even when the battery is removed from the bike.
LEDs provide information about the current charge status. Through these LEDs, the battery also communicates error signals, in case an error should creep into the system. There is also an ON/OFF switch directly on the battery.
As usual, the battery offers an extremely long service life. After 1,000 charging cycles, you still have at least 60% of the total capacity. So if you charge once a week, 19 years will have passed after 1,000 cycles.
Due to the Intube design, the battery disappears in the down tube and is thus well protected against external influences at the same time by the cover of the frame. The removal of the battery from the frame is also uncomplicated by simply turning the key.
