SRAM EX1 XG-899 E-Block Cassette

The XG-899 E-Block cassette from SRAM is a decisive innovation for derailleurs in the E-MTB scene. The chain has a fixed link position on each sprocket. The sprockets are special! The sprockets work with inner and outer chain links. Optimal shifting to the inside and outside is thus achieved. This results in almost perfect shifting, even when the motor is fully supported by your leg power.

Features and advantages of the EX1 E-Block cassette

The 8-speed E-Block cassette is made of a hardened tool steel and aluminium (large 48T sprocket) and still weighs only 559g. The improved chain contact with ascending sprockets ensures an ideal gear ratio for the mid-motor. The developers at SRAM chose a sysmmetric shifting geometry. This results in a fast and precise shifting process. Due to the special sprockets, an optimal shifting performance for inside and outside is achieved.
The chain technology has been revamped thanks to the large gear jumps and is specially designed for the requirements of E-MTBs.

Notice:

- The EX1 XG-899 E-Block cassette is compatible with any MTB 9/10-speed freewheel body.
- Please only use SRAM EX1 compatible chains.
- Please make sure that the distance between the top pulley (rear derailleur) and the largest sprocket is exactly 22mm when 1st gear is engaged.
