Description
The SHIMANO brake disc RT-EM810 is a brake disc designed for e-bikes with STEPS drive system and mounted on the rear wheel. Therefore, the magnet for the sensor SM-DUE11 is already integrated. For the front wheel, the counterpart without magnet can still be used.
This brake disc contains almost all the technology that Shimano currently has to offer. On the one hand, there is the ICE TECHNOLOGIES sandwich structure of stainless steel layers outside with an aluminum core, which absorbs heat better during braking and lowers the surface temperature up to 100°C. On the other hand, it has cooling fins in the form of a sheet - called: FREEZA. This achieves a reduction in temperature of a further 50°C.
Considered as a whole, all these features result in a stable brake with consistently high performance that can be relied on in any situation, especially on long downhill runs. Fading as well as wear are also reduced to a minimum.
The brake disc is compatible with both organic (resin) brake pads and sintered (metal) pads.

ICE TECHNOLOGIES
The brake disc consists of a three-layer sandwich structure of stainless steel on the outside around a core of aluminum. It radiates heat better and reduces the surface temperature from 400°C to 300°C, for example.
FREEZA TECHNOLOGY
Thanks to a larger surface area for heat distribution, the brake disc achieves a 50 °C temperature reduction. As a result, the braking force is increased by 20 percent and the service life of the brake pad is extended by 20 percent.
