The Magura CMe5 is, so to speak, a further evolutionary step in the development of bicycle brakes. In cooperation with Bosch, this brake was perfectly developed and adapted to the technical requirements of the Bosch eBike ABS. The ABS system enables safe braking and increases the riding stability and steerability of the bike on slippery, slippery or loose surfaces. The probability of a rollover during emergency braking is significantly reduced.

Thanks to the axial design, the CMe is particularly low-maintenance and saves space in the cockpit. It can also be fitted to bikes without an ABS system, but either way it performs reliably and with plenty of braking power thanks to its 4-piston design.

Technologies

Carbotecture®
A mixture of high-tech polymers and carbon or glass fibres is transformed into a plastic granulate in several complex processes. During the processing from this granulate to the finished component, the carbon fibres are optimally aligned to the load requirements. With this Carboflow process, any desired shape can be created from the granulate in an injection moulding process. Compared to the classic lightweight material aluminium, our Carbotecture® offers significant advantages: With the identical tensile and breaking strength of aluminium, Carbotecture® is 50 % lighter, so it weighs only half!
