Description
The Bosch eShift Y-cable is used for power supply and CAN-BUS transmission of Shimano, Nuvinci H|Sny and SRAM. With the Y-cable an electronic circuit on an e-bike is possible. The circuit communicates with the Bosch components via a CAN bus.
eShift in conjunction with Shimano
Shimano implements the automatic gear change with the Di2 solution in conjunction with the Alfine hub (8 or 11 gears) and the Nexus 8 gear hub. In this case, the combination of Bosch and Shimano is designed for comfort. When the e-bike retires, the system automatically switches to a predefined starting gear (“Auto DownShift”), the starting gear is automatically engaged.
eShift in combination with NuVinci
Nuvinci allows for a continuously variable automatic shift. Due to the desired cadence and the Nuvinci gearshift, the optimum transmission ratio is achieved automatically. A higher range is therefore possible. Manual electronic gearshifting is also possible with preset gears.
eShift in conjunction with SRAM
The combination of eShift and DD3 pulses from SRAM is a speed-dependent circuit. It is based on a combination of chain and 3-speed hub gears. This ensures a wide range of transmission ratios. When the SRAM DD3 Pulse stops, it automatically switches back to the first gear. E-Bike riders start easily and efficiently.
