With the Haibike MRS The Range Extender it is possible for you to mount an additional Bosch battery on your e-bike. With a few simple steps it is thus possible for you to obtain a total capacity of 1000 Wh (1x Bosch Powertube 500Wh + 1x Bosch PowerPack 500 Wh) or 1125 Wh (1x Bosch Powertube 625 Wh + 1x Bosch PowerPack 500 Wh). A Y-cable is used to connect the two batteries in parallel.

We offer the Range Extender in the following variations:

Option - without locking cylinder.

You will receive only the Range Extender. The lock for fixing the Bosch PowerPack battery is missing. You would have to buy this lock separately.

Option - with lock cylinder

You will receive the Range-Extender including a Bosch battery lock, so you can install the Range-Extender completely. Thereby the delivered lock has a random key number.

Option - with two lock cylinders and keyed alike

You get the range extender including the Bosch battery lock and a lock for the Bosch Powertube inner frame battery. If you use / install both locks from the set, you can unlock both batteries with the same key.

Note: The supplied lock cylinder is only suitable for models from model year 2018.

Option - with TheRailLock, with two locking cylinders and keyed alike.

This option corresponds to the same option as "with two locking cylinders and keyed alike". However, the identical key is also used here to unlock the supplied Haibike TheRailLock.

Note: The Haibike MRS The Range Extender is only compatible for Haibike models that are equipped with the Modular Rail System.

For Haibike models from 2020 with Bosch Powertube 625Wh battery, a lower battery holder cover is required:

The following Winora models are also compatible with the RangeExtender:

Attention: When delivered with 2 locking cylinders, the locking cylinder installed on the e-bike must be replaced.

Modular Rail System

With the Modular Rail System it is possible for the user to mount various components on his Haibike. Provided the Haibike model is equipped with the Modular Rail System. Haibikes that are equipped with an integrated Bosch Powertube battery are compatible with the Modular Rail system (MRS). A rail is located on the top of the down tube. On this rail can:

be installed.

Tip: Combinations are also possible. Like the use of a locking system and the water bottle.

Note: Please note that e-bikes with small frame sizes may have difficulties with the space available in the frame triangle. Therefore, please check whether there is enough space for the range extender before ordering. If you are unsure, please contact our customer Service.
