The SHIMANO XT RD-M8050 Di2 rear derailleur combines the latest rear derailleur technologies that SHIMANO has to offer. The result is extraordinarily high performance and absolute precision through electronic shifting. The XT groupset can be used for all types of MTB riding, including racing. SHIMANO thus provides the ambitious, quality-conscious mountain biker with access to high-end components at a fair price.

The RD-M8050 is designed for use on MTBs with - either 1x11-speed and 11-46T cassette or 2x11-speed and 11-42T cassette. The ratio range achieved with this should be above any increase. A damper counteracts drive noise on the one hand and provides a good portion of comfort on the other. The SHADOW RD PLUS technology keeps the chain tension high even in rough terrain.

Both body and cage are made of aluminium. This gives the rear derailleur a weight of only around 319g. The flat design creates safety on narrow trails and also makes a very noble impression.

Furthermore, it is equipped with fluorine-coated pivot bushings. The rear derailleur rollers run on sealed industrial bearings. This guarantees a long life expectancy.

Technologies

SHADOW RD PLUS
A stabiliser in the rear derailleur effectively prevents the chain from slamming off-road. This improves chain guidance and reduces the risk of the chain jumping off. In addition, the technology ensures less noise in the drivetrain.

SEIS (SHIMANO ELECTRONIC INTELLIGENT SYSTEM)
The innovative computer-controlled shifting system based on the Di2 concept continues to be based on the Shimano Index System (SIS), which has proven itself over the years with its outstanding shifting performance. The difference is that the shifting process is carried out electronically and not mechanically. Even under extreme conditions such as mud, cold or rider fatigue, shifting is always precise and fast by simply pressing a button. Due to the electronically transmitted shift signal, the shifting performance is not impaired in any way. The advantage lies clearly in the rider's ability to concentrate, who is not distracted by shifting gears and always has a firm grip on the handlebars.

E-TUBE
Thanks to the "Plug & Play" connections of the E-TUBE platform and the D-FLY wireless connections, it is easier than ever to check the status of the system and apply customised settings for DI2 and SHIMANO STEPS components using a PC, tablet or smartphone. Functions such as SHIMANO SYNCHRONIZED SHIFT can be adjusted wirelessly via Bluetooth® while riding. An automatic check for firmware updates is performed at every start-up to ensure that all components are running the latest version. PC, smartphone and tablet apps facilitate quick fault diagnosis and simplify the repair process. Beautiful visual implementation of SHIMANO STEPS real-time ride data on your smartphone. HG-X11
Velvety smooth riding, precise shifting - the HG-X11 directional chain provides smoother shifting and overall higher performance. The right and left sides are optimised for front and rear shifting respectively.
