Description
An oil change is recommended once a year or every 5000 km. This ensures that there is always a sufficient quantity of oil in the gearbox in the event of oil loss due to sweating oil and that any abrasion left-over or water that may have formed is flushed out.

Please note:
- The hub should be at room temperature (oil flows better). Turn the hub so that the oil drain plug is at the top.
- 12.5 ml is sufficient for one oil change.
Attention!
Only Rohloff oils (gear oils/cleaning oils) may be filled into the Rohloff SPEEDHUB 500/14. Filling in other fluids or additives can cause damage to gear parts (e.g. plastic parts).
Tip!
As the flushing oil is added to the oil in the hub for the flushing process, there is just under 50 ml of oil in the hub before the extraction process. For disposal, the entire suction quantity can be filled into the 50 ml flushing oil bottle.
