E-bike headlight mount, light cables & accessories

With the right light cables, lamp holders and matching accessories, you can get the most out of your lighting system. Choose from a wide range of mounts for headlights and rear lights: for every application, for different mounting positions and for many well-known manufacturers. Connect your e-bike light to the motor with a suitable light cable and make your e-bike shine.

What is the best headlight position?

Depending on how and where you use your e-bike, the positioning of your front light is extremely important. You can usually choose between two mounting options: on the handlebars or on the fork.

Headlight mount for the fork Mounting the bike light on the fork crown is the classic option. The front light is positioned centrally above the front wheel. This makes the light highly visible from the front and sides. The bracket allows you to adjust the angle to the optimum position. This option is particularly suitable for city and touring use.

Headlight mount for the handlebars

In recent years, mounting lights on the handlebars has become increasingly popular. This makes particular sense with headlights with high beam, as the cable for the switch can be neatly routed along the handlebars. In addition, the light cable can be integrated very neatly on e-bikes with internally routed cables. Lamp holders for handlebar mounting are usually available in versions for 31.8 mm and 35 mm clamp diameters. Handlebar mounting is ideal for sporty e-bikes.

Special mounts for rear lights and action cameras

As with the front light, there are also various mounting options for the rear light. There are essentially three: on the luggage rack, on the seat post or on the mudguard. These are usually integrated directly into the rear lights. Special solutions are available for mounting on the saddle, such as the Busch & Müller saddle frame rear light holder. For headlight mounts, there are also numerous adapters for mounting action cameras such as GoPro and similar models. Solutions are available here from Lupine and Supernova.

The right light cable for your e-bike

In addition to a sturdy headlight mount, the right cable is also important for e-bike lighting. There are numerous differences here, both between lamp manufacturers and between motor manufacturers. There are special e-bike light cables specifically for Bosch, Giant, Yamaha, Brose and Shimano. These usually have open ends and can therefore be attached to the light cables of headlight and rear light manufacturers. However, special light cables are also available from Supernova and Lupine, which can then be attached directly to the motor for selected drive systems.

Connecting light cables for headlights and rear lights

Are you looking for the right headlight, rear lights, brackets and light cables, these components still need to be connected. We particularly recommend Scotchlock connectors. These are easy to use and connect light cables quickly and perfectly sealed. With crimp contacts and heat-shrink tubing can also be used to connect lamps, even with plug connections. However, this requires special crimping pliers and a little dexterity.
